Avenue A | Razorfish Redesigns Website for Make a Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama

Atlanta, GA – December 12, 2007 – The Atlanta office of Avenue A | RazorfishTM, one of the largest interactive services firms in the world, announced today the website redesign for The Make A Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama at www.ga-al.wish.org. Avenue A | Razorfish redesigned the website on a pro bono basis donating approximately 1,000 hours including seven consultants on the redesign team. “We chose The Make A Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama because of the huge impact this group has on children in need and our ability to give a gift in kind to such a great cause,” said Shannon Denton, Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Southeast region of Avenue A | Razorfish. “The team of volunteers worked in their off hours and on the weekends to complete the website while maintaining their regular workload.” Avenue A | Razorfish completed site analytics and conducted user research to provide proper content and simplify navigation throughout the site. A complete front-end redesign was completed utilizing new wireframes and visual designs.

A key factor in the overall success of this project is the ease of site updates and content changes. In order to achieve this success metric, Avenue A | Razorfish researched content management tools. Each tool was evaluated based on cost, ease of use and implementation. The free platform Joomla for backend updates was finally selected along with the low-cost tool SlideShowPro used to host an audiovisual album of wishes granted to ill children. “We are grateful to the Avenue | A Razorfish team for their outstanding work which will greatly assist us in our efforts to grant 400 wishes this year,” said P.J.
